Located in the heart of Yasmine Hammamet, Diar Lemdina is a distinctive, apartment-style hotel set within the colourful Medina Mediterranea complex. Designed to reflect traditional Tunisian architecture, the property combines the feel of a holiday village with the practicality of self-catering accommodation, making it particularly well suited to families and larger groups.
Unlike standard hotel rooms, accommodation here is made up of spacious apartments with separate bedrooms, living areas and kitchens, giving families far more room to spread out and settle in. On site you’ll find multiple restaurants, indoor and outdoor pools, spa facilities including a Turkish bath, and access to nearby attractions, all within easy walking distance.
For families wanting space, convenience and everything in one contained area, Diar Lemdina offers a relaxed base in Yasmine Hammamet with the added benefit of resort-style facilities.
Our Apartment at Diar Lemdina
We stayed in a three-bedroom apartment that sleeps up to eight people, which felt genuinely spacious rather than cramped.
The apartment included:
- A large living room
- Three bathrooms (a huge win for families and larger groups)
- A fully equipped kitchen
- An enclosed paved garden, ideal if you have children who need a safe outdoor space
- A porch with seating, which was perfect for quieter downtime

Enclosed yard:

For families who need space to spread out, decompress, or stick to familiar routines, the apartment setup works really well.
Pools: Indoor vs Outdoor
There are two large outdoor pools, but it’s worth knowing that in February they were very cold, so not really usable at this time of year unless you’re very brave.
The real highlight for us was the indoor pool, which was heated to a very comfortable 32°C. It felt warm, relaxing, and much more accessible for children (and adults!) who struggle with cold water or sensory discomfort.

They also had a lifeguard on duty and provided some pool noodles and arm bands for the kids to use.
Playground
There is a kids playgrounds beside one of the outdoor pools. This was a great find and actually just outside of our apartment!

Food & Restaurants
Diar Lemdina has many restaurants on site, giving plenty of choice without needing to leave the complex.
Buffet breakfast:

We had breakfast included, served buffet-style. This worked well for us:
- Lots of choice
- Easy to find familiar foods
- No pressure to order or wait long
Buffet breakfasts are often much easier for autistic children, especially when energy levels are low in the mornings.
Included Extras & Free Access
One of the big perks of staying at Diar Lemdina is that you get free access to several nearby attractions, including:
- Local museums
- A Turkish bath
- The nearby water park
Unfortunately, during our stay the water park was closed, which was disappointing, but it’s still worth knowing that access is included when it’s operating.
Overall Thoughts
Diar Lemdina works particularly well for:
- Larger families or groups
- Families who need separate bedrooms and multiple bathrooms
- Those who value indoor facilities in cooler months
- Anyone wanting to stay somewhere contained, walkable, and low-stress
The apartment layout, heated indoor pool, and included extras make it a strong option—especially outside peak summer season. Just be aware that in winter, outdoor pools and attractions like the water park may not be available.
