3 Apps I Won’t Travel Without When Travelling With My Autistic Kids

As a mum of two autistic boys who has travelled to 33 countries with an autistic child (so far) – there are some apps I rely on when we travel and wouldn’t travel without now. Below is a list of the apps and how to download them.

What is Playground Buddy?

Playground Buddy: This app helps families find nearby playgrounds worldwide, providing photos, directions, and user reviews. It’s a valuable tool for parents looking to locate accessible play areas for children.

What is Flush?

Flush: A simple and effective app that helps users find public restrooms quickly. It’s particularly useful for travellers and those with specific bathroom needs, including accessibility features. I love it for travelling with my toddler who is recently potty trained and ends up needing immediately when he asks.

What is prmassist?

PRM Assist: Designed for travellers requiring special assistance, this app allows users to pre-book services at airports, ensuring a smoother travel experience for individuals with reduced mobility.

These apps are great tools for making family outings and travel more accessible and enjoyable.
